PETG sits between PLA and ABS. It's durable and impact-resistant like ABS, but you can print it without an enclosure or fume handling. Black PETG is made from virgin Eastman Eastar PETG resin.
Key properties
Durable, impact-resistant and temperature-resistant
No enclosure required
Can't be acetone-smoothed (unlike ABS)
Printing notes
PETG bonds very strongly to glass and smooth PEI. Use a release agent such as a glue stick or WELD3D, or the print or the build plate can break when you remove it.
PETG absorbs moisture. Store it sealed with desiccant, and dry it if you hear popping.
