Black ASA Prime is for outdoor parts that have to stay black, like automotive trim. ASA Prime is the outdoor-rated alternative to ABS. It prints much like ABS, but it's UV-stabilized, so parts keep their color and strength in direct sun. Black is one of our two best-selling ASA colors, alongside Aqua Blue. It's made from LG Chem L1912 ASA resin, colorant only, no fillers.

Printing notes

  • Low warping, and strong layer adhesion for solid, watertight parts
  • ASA absorbs moisture. Store it sealed and dry it if print quality drops.
  • Ventilation helps with the smell but isn't required.
